Monday Updates and such! :)

Happy Monday to all! :) I have had a bit of spare time this evening, so I am going to throw up a bunch of stuff I've meant to write about in the past couple of weeks, I just haven't had the time.

First of all, I redid my bathroom on the cheap (like seriously less than 30 bucks for everything) a couple of weeks ago, and when I went shopping I knew I wanted COLOR. Everything in my apartment was themed like black and beige, and most of it was gifts that were expensive from when Aaron and I had our little 1 bedroom flat apartment, with not a lot of room so all my stuff (bedroom included) went together. Anyways, so I loved daisies and I decided to redo my bathroom in such. I personally think it's cute... Aaron thought it was bright, but he's a guy. ;) Anyways, here's some pics of what I threw together. Hope you all like! :)

Okay, funny random little story. I was heading into work the other day, working for a coworker and I am running late (as usual), and I see this guy half naked on a moped.... weaving in and out of traffic without a care in the world. I started to freak out at first, then realized he was probably just enjoying his day off. lol. I did happen to snap a pic so you can maybe laugh too. ;)

Last weekend before this one, Aaron's mom took us to dinner at this place in Hendersonville, TN where her boyfriend lives. We've eaten at this place in Nashville and it's my FAVORITE place to eat when I'm down there, but anyways it's called Demo's. Thier food is delicious, and cheap as well. On this particular trip I got steak and chicken, with alfredo noodles. I know that sounds crazy, but they are known for thier free homeade bread, and the fact you can get any kind of spaghetti with any entree, so the possibilites are endless for what you order from there. Anyways, I also got a strawberry daquri too. (2nd drink I've bought since I was 21!) It was really good too!! Anyways, here's a sneak peak of my food, yes I'm the weird girl who always takes pics of her food. LOL.

Last but not least, I have to blog about my sweet puggies!! We took them to Dad's for a family cookout sunday. They had such a good time running and playing in the backyard, and just being outside in the yard. We ate good that night too, Aaron loves to grill- I swear he would grill every night if he could. Anyways, Lily Belle will be 2 years old in May, and Jaina Leigh just turned 4 months old the 15th! :)

And so I end another day, successfully writing my thoughts down and thank God for this wonderful day. Thanks for reading all, I appreciate it! :)

Long time no blog. :)

Well, it has been some time since I've blogged! School started back (the break seems so short!) and these classes seem so harder, and require hours of reading. But I have read lots of good stories that I would have probably not chosen. For some of you that don't know, I am in LOVE with history and reading about times way before me. So, of course I would love the stories from that time era.

I have offically put in my notice at Catherines. It was a bittersweet thing. I loved my job at first, for the first year or so, and I have made some of the best friend's I'll ever have, but the company is just getting a little too ridcilious with thier high demands of goals to be met, lack of management (not in MY store, but others) and persistent rudeness the company as a whole reflects. Also, the fact that to me it seems like they can not keep thier minds straight about anything, and we spend more time fixing the mistakes they make than we do providing customer service and selling! Also, I got a full time job working from home, which is going to be so much fun!

I actually am taking my first PAID vacation this summer, which is amazing! 8 days of being on the beach with my sweet husband and family soaking up the sun! I have been to Florida one time in my life, and it was not the best time ever, but this time around I am super excited!! I have to thank my wonderful in laws for agreeing to let us come with them along the way. I have already bought all the stuff I will need to go, and we have saved back some money for our trip, we are so ready for a week of nothing but us! :)

Car shopping- yes, I am car shopping. We are looking for our first big purchase together. I will be making a signifigant amount of money at my new job, and we need a new car anyways. My old honda ( I paid 2k for it like 6 years ago has just about crapped out.) I tell everyone daily that if it crapped out today, I would have well gotten my money's worth. I will miss the gas mileage. It was AMAZING. But, I have narrowed down my options to a Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion, or a Pontiac Vibe. All three are safe cars, with decent gas mileage, and all will have a car payment less than 300 a month. I refuse to have a car payment more than a house note.. lol.

Anyways, life has been on the up and up here lately... I couldn't ask God for more... well maybe one more thing; a baby! I have the baby fever! I feel the time has come for Aaron and I to start a family. I see all these precious babies, and I can't help but want to be a mother. Aaron and I are stable in all aspects, with the exception of money, but that will soon change. You know, we would make great parents I believe. I have never been a partier, drinker, into drugs, etc. I have a level head, I dont deal with drama or anything. We made the commitment to get married at such a young age, and we have been together since we were 13 and 14 years old. We have a strong relationship, and they say when it's at it's strongest it's best to start a family, not when it's at it's worst. Anyways, we have decided we are going to wait until after the summer to start trying because I would like to loose more weight and really be on top of our finances as well. I will keep you all updated as I can. :)

Thanks for reading, and God bless each and every one of you! :) Night!

Homemade Stuffed Peppers

Welcome April, I come to you with open arms! Lots of changes this month! :)
Anyways, today was my downtime day so I made a good homemade meal, one of my Granny's recipes with a few of my own techniques. Enjoy!!

What you'll need:
5-6 Green Bell Peppers (Preferrably tall wide ones)
Tomato Sauce
Katchup
1 lb ground meat
1 cup rice cooked and fluffed
Mild Cheddar Shredded Cheese
Salt and Pepper
Olive Oil

1. Cut off tops of green peppers and clean out the inside seeds. DONT pull out the bottoms just pull the seeds out, the bottoms help keep the stuffing in.

2. Place peppers in a big pot of boiling water and salt (Use about 1/2 pan of water and put peppers in top up.) Cover to boil for about 5-10 minutes. You want them soft, but not mushy.

3. Drain water off the peppers, using tongs VERY gently remove peppers and place into a small baking dish or brownie pan with olive oil drizzled on the bottom. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic in the insides and rub gently on outsides as well. Set aside.

4. Cook rice according to box. After cooked and cooled a bit, add about 1/2 can of tomato sauce and about 1 cup of katchup. This is a personal preference on how you like it to taste. Also, sprinkle a bit of italian seasoning, garlic salt, pepper in as well.

5. Cook ground meat with onion until done, drain off excess grease and mix cooked meat with rice mixture. At this point I add more tomato product, a mixture of tomato sauce and katchup until it's the consistency I prefer.

6. Now, take a small spoon and spoon the mixture into each pepper very carefully. Fill them as full as you can without busting and all the way to the top, even a little over the top. Push down to fit more in to the pepper if need be.

7. Sprinkle tops of peppers with cheese, do this right before you put into the oven. (At this point you can wrap and freeze these for a later date, you can wrap up overnight for easier dinner prep as well.

8. Bake your peppers in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the peppers start to firm up again.

9. I served mine with fried potatoes, and Becky's brown sugar glazed carrots (which are delish!!). Enjoy. :) You can count on these being delicious and healthy, a great way for kids to eat veggies, and they are a pretty color too! :)

Thanks for reading all. Xoxo
